Idk its a bit debatable on if i jumped later but 120 ping isn't really high if ur just comparing it to what people are normally at like 50-60. I do notice a slight difference on these screenshots but its so close that i cant rule out if its a later jump or just how the frame ended up when trying to pause on it.

But i mean are you really going to say that the person to my left with the staff has so much lower ping than mine or that 0 ping is so great that it can over come this level of jump height disparity. I mean you can see the height difference between that staff and the one in front of it that is at least a good head length taller and with how close the laser is him making that jump is ridiculous unless 0 ping is so strong that it enables what appears to be a dead corpse, judging by his reaction time, to just jump a laser that is basically face fucking him.

I'll try to get more videos now that i have my PC back and can record with shadowplay cause ive had way worse ones than this.

They most likely have the plugin enabled so the laser trigger is moved back for them, making it seem like they're jumping way too late from your perspective, even more so since you have lagcomp disabled so the laser is in its original position.

And yes, please record and send videos when you can.

i mean yeah they probably do but with how egregious that jump seems its almost comical. Maybe its just me but being someone with like 120-150 i feel like 0 ping has none of the advantage and only disadvantages. My ping isnt so bad like a 300 ping player that i get the full benefit of being able to jump later and its not like 50-60 ping where the difference between it being on and off is almost negligible. I feel like some of the lasers can do some funky stuff like switch between 0 ping and none 0 ping , this seems to mostly be on wester. What I'm saying in a round about way is it hurts the middle ping players and really only helps the super high ping or the nearly brain dead but i could be completely off base here.

This is exactly why we ask people to post live videos or client demos of their own PoV, anything else won't help as you saw with the other players in your clip.

Lagcomp, in theory, should be exactly like offline play, where you time your jumps based on what you see without arbitrary delays (except for delayed deaths, that's impossible to mitigate). It shouldn't differ among players regardless of their ping unless they live on the moon. This means any issues you experience are caused by some other factor, like that one bug on tyranny that killed everyone.

Also, as someone with roughly the same ping as you, I've never noticed issues with lagcomp or had difficulty adapting, but for all I know I could be just lucky. So post a video whenever you suspect something's not right.

Honestly I dont give a fuck right now since u heard botox his voice on the dropbox vid anyway. He was there on alt when not playing for a while and he died 3 times with a fucking laser hack to the 0 ping lasers! 3 times with a hack! How is this shit not broken?
 
botox confirmed that disabled 0 ping is not like you don't have it at all -at ESK discord-, xen doubts that it doesn't work probably when disabled bcuz it doesn't off the plugin (he said it is impossible) the plugin just assume that you already have 0 ping, so again i'm asking you to rethink about 0 ping and it's existence at UNLOZE

At this point, 0 ping is becoming a conspiracy theory where any anti 0-ping player does and says anything about it. No matter how crazy or unlikely. Without any proof. Spicy.

no he literally said that the plugin doesn't work probably when your fps get low, and turning it off makes it worse than keeping it on

Well i mean tbf we lowly peasants who don't like the plugin don't exactly have access to view the plugin in any way and anytime anyone shows a screenshot or a video of some fishy stuff certain people just come out like " nah you def died i used my NSA credentials to run your video on my cray supercomputer and slowed it down and noticed that you jumped 10 microseconds later thus u died"

We just played last stage of cosmo with 0 ping completly unloaded.
Ofc a single round is not enough to prove anything, but the ppl that complained about dying to 0 ping still died to the lasers.
Out of 41 players that went into the lasers 3 survived them.

honestly this just seems more prejudicial than probative
 
don't forget that the jump is 1.05 in unloze it makes the middle laser's timing harder to get

This one is a delayed death but it goes along with the second video on comparing jump height and why the lasers of the same height produce two different deaths.

This video the death is instant from what appears to be the same or greater jump height than the first video (these measurements are solely based on my cursor on chaos and the backdrop mountains so might not be 100% accurate)

this is the first laser which i survived the laser is a little closer but its the best i could do with the frame by frame.

In the second it doesnt act like the death trigger is infront being that i was this close to the laser but only died after as if the trigger was behind the laser

In this death i die as if the laser is infront of the actual visual as you can see i jump at around the same height (this was the best frame i could get) of note i am at the same distance from chaos i just moved to the side i usually stand in the cross section but there were zombies coming

but i die before the visual laser has hit me as seen here, same position of laser only in 1 i am alive and the other dead without the laser having moved.

The first video pretty much looks normal imo. Nothing wrong there I'd say

The second video however does indeed look like you die before the laser hits :thonk:
