We discussed a bit today about rank rewards and thought that we would like introducing that top5 in a season can keep the rank reward playermodel permanently instead of only for the season. Meanwhile we would like to reduce the amount of people who can have the rank reward for a season from top 20 players to just top 15. So top 5 get the rank reward skin permanently meanwhile the remaining 10 guys only keep it for the season.
In case a guy who already has the rank reward skin permanently is in top5 of another season again it just simply means that nobody gets his permanent reward.

That way can top players also gate keep the skin from being given permanently to other players. We plan already to introduce it with the end of this season in january. Meaning if you are in top5 when we reset hlstats in january you keep the reward permanently.

We also think about more options like rewarding a player model for having been in the top 5 for several seasons.

Unfortunately that wouldn't make sense. Season skins should be used during its season in my opinion. Although what could be done is the top collectors from the previous season event could have the skin on the next one without collecting all the things (pumpkins/gifts) and they could keep it if they were still the top collectors.

This is the zombie escape forum, so we are not talking about mg here.
But that's a good concern anyway, sadly mg does not attract as much players as ze and skins can be earn just by playing on the mg server and buy them from a shop.
Making a rank season on a server without enough players will add more work for nothing imo.

Ranks will be reset today on ze. Moray, yoshmi, d3j4de, kanuuna and savita received the permanent skin reward. The remaining top15 will receive it until reset of the next season.
