Anyone know how to fix this issue I've got?

So yesterday I bought myself a new pair of headset (Razer kraken pro v2 to be exact) and since razer synapse doesnt actually have that model in its app you cant use the features that it has. So I searched it up a bit and theres apperantly this "extra" app that you can download which is called razer surround. In which you can tweak eq settings, surround, base etc on headsets that are not razer or just models that doesnt exist in the app.
Well great I thought, until I actually got it to work... All the sudden an exe called audiodg.exe started taking up over 80 % of my cpu. But whenever you would inactivate the playback device that im using it would go down to normal usage. Whenever I uninstall the surround app, the usage also goes to normal. Why I just dont uninstall it and leave it be is because of the eq settings I've got on synapse are really good & the vanilla sound is complete trash on the headset (Also tried other equalizers but never got a good result).

I've tried updating my windows 10 and even tried backrolling it to previous updates but didnt work, i've tried updating all sorts of drivers but still no change. As to what I could find theres only 1 thread on google about this issue. Which the only "fix" on the thread was to update to the 10th of october 2k18 update, which also didnt work for me.
There are other threads about synapse itself causing this but now its not synapse but rather razer surround (I've also tried the fixes for the synapse.exe cpu usage).

Motherboard : Asus rog strix Z370-H
OS : Windows 10 (Currently : 1803, KB: KB4462933

I don't want to sound like an elitist but this is literally the reason why you should never buy a headset.
Especially if it's made by Razer.

I'd suggest returning it to the store and consider buying good pair of headphones and a separate mic.

Yeah, I was thinking that aswell. But I wanted to try to find a solution before I return it. But if I were to return it, what headset/headphone should I buy instead in your opinion? The headset I bought now costed around 65 euro, so cant go much higher than that (cause im poor lmao)

Be a bit patient and wait til the christmas sale or you go super dirty and wait a few weeks after christmas and buy people's unwanted gifts from (tradera, blocket, ebay etc). Headphones you should probably go with sennheiser product and for mic it depends really, you can buy the cheap clip mic or you buy a cheap microphone just be sure that you get a 3.5mm jack along with it

You can prob buy a cheap mic thats wayy better than any mic in a headset. A €50 headphone is prob better than your €65 headset.

I bought a seperate mic + headphone and am never going back to a headset.

It's time to stop playing with plastic toys and start listening to music with decent equipment. You can find an increase in sound quality even in headphones for 20 euros (ISK HP-580). It's difficult to recommend a specific headphone model to someone, because everyone is different and hears differently, has a different taste, etc. The best solution will be to visit the music store and test different headphones there. Recommended brands: Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, AKG (in most cases high impedance - usually an amplifier required), Audio-Technica, ISK and Superlux. Some headphones from these companies are rubbish, so you will have to look for a list of recommended headphones by yourself. If you need isolation from the environment, look for closed headphones. If you prefer the soundstage instead, then open ones. Collect some money and think about Sennheiser HD559.

About surround applications, equalizers and other inventions - not worth the trouble. The same with headphones equipped with many drivers. It just makes things worse. The only company that could afford it was AKG. In the eighties, they carried out such experiments, but it's a renowned company with extensive experience.

The headsets' microphones are crappy, that's true. But some of them are not so bad. They sound nicer, with no sparks in the upper frequencies, but less clearly. In any case, Zalman ZM-MIC1 for 5 euros will be enough for games.

It depends on your requirements. For someone, this microphone can be good, but it sucks for someone else. But there is something called: ,,value for money'', and for this microphone it's very high.

However, if you want something better, then only USB condenser microphones. But it will cost you at least 50 euros.

Razer is good only for mouse and mousepad :D
if u want some serious headset buy a 5.1 audio card and ZALMAN 5.1 headset!
