The hypocrisy in your actions in this specific case is most worrying. You first defend the anti-earth troll that was added by Xen by saying it's noob friendly, meaning new players that don't know the map won't get trimmd and hate mako. Then when Kouya is ebanned by Vanster for blocking the view of laser on Ex1 you proceed to claim that "everyone knows that it's always jump".

And you guys should discuss how much involvement tech admins should have on in game decisions, as some of you are not very talented when it comes to interacting with other human beings. Bad guy...idk, maybe you are a good guy, but i don't believe you should have the in game access you currently posess, due to your inability to cooperate with your admin team.

I didn't want to leave further comments here but I was complaining about the length of the eban.
And I welcome the change by xen still.
70 days for this is not justified however in my opinion, and I don't accept that my opinion is worth nothing in this matter.

It doesn't matter how easy a laser may be, you as an admin must make sure that other players' actions don't make other's experience worse, not even a bit. I mean players need to have all the opportunities to win a map and nobody can take a part or all of these opportunities from them.
You say that it's a jump laser and it's easy, you don't need to see where it is launched from, at what height, and that's correct. But you need to know when it was launched and at what speed in order to jump. And the opportunity to see it was taken away, thus making it harder for those who died to survive.
You may say "They could hear the sound anyway". But again, the earth made it harder for them to dodge the laser, and they didn't expect the earth to appear there. Some of them may have been taken by surprise, so they couldn't concentrate. Some of them could be playing without in-game sound and relying only on what they could see, and they have the right to do it.
Even so, you confirm it was a trolling, otherwise you woundn't have restricted Aotsuki for 60 minutes, so you should know what I'm talking about, right? :thonk:

It wasn't trolling. It was a mistake. He didn't do it intentionally. I saw that guy, he took a couple of steps forward to protect me and other guys who were not fast enough. It's not like he rushed forward for no reason at all or to push all the zombies in. He pushed only one who jumped behind him iirc.
Also was this guy a famous troll? I don't think so. Then why the fuck did you treat him the same way as Aotsuki had been treated?

The reason why I asked you to move the discussion to the forum was that the discussion was too loud and took too much time which hindered the gameplay. It's not a teamspeak, it's a server, and ppl come here to play, not to listen to a quarrel.

Second, it's kinda ironic to see that from you, since you were complaning about admins not telling directly when they have a problem with you, but then you do this for a ban length??

I really don't understand your way of thinking BotoX.

About the case it self it's not a question of being a bad or a good guy.
It's about how you behave.
Your 2nd eban is totaly unjustified like the one gene made a few days ago.
So obv it would have been changed no matter what because it's clearly not how things should be handled.

However, didn't Vanster say in the admin chat that Neon had given Aotsuki the same 70 days ban and lifted it and told others to ban him again if he broke any rule? Maybe I didn't understand it correctly cuz I was being focused on the game, maybe @Vanster or @Neon can clarify.

Probably the realest thing ever. Botox should not have in-game access or have a saying in certain matters regarding them. he has proven that on multiple occasions by now
 
70 Days isn't that much for a player who is permanently ebanned on most servers, and has been perm banned on Unloze several times as well. The issue is not the ban length imo, it's the way it was handled on the spot. Being ebanned for 30 minutes while you guys discuss the situation in private would not kill Kouya. Also i don't understand why you feel like going public with this, letting the community choose sides in what is clearly something that should be handled internally. But hey, it's saturday and i have my popcorn ready.

And I did not intend to say that tech admins should not be allowed to front their opinions, but when the same person over and over is in conflict with the majority of the admin team, then either the mindset of the majority is fucked up, or that one person is unable to see that they might be wrong themselves.

kouya is a wolf on the road to redemption. we had a sit down with him and explained that we could no longer tolerate his trolling. that was about a month ago, and since then he's been doing remarkably well. blocking the view of lasers on ex1 is nowhere near the same as tk'ing ppl by getting them stuck in earth at a laser (something the old kouya would have done)

It is significant. Trolling is trolling and it doesn't mean if you troll 'just a bit' or do a lot of trolling stuff, if you ruin experience of 4 or 64 players. It is still trolling. Especially in Aotsuki's case who is known to be a troll and has been banned many, many times.
If you think that trolling, any kind of it, is something that improves one's game experience, you must be terribly wrong. It's like saying if you're walking and someone trips you up and you fall and break your leg or something and you are grateful to this person for having tripped you up because it made your walking experience better. I donno about other ways to show you the absurdity of what you have just said.

Trolls are those few who don't care about the rules and they break it, but most people are not like that. It's the same irl. There're criminals out there who break laws but their percentage is so insignificant, you can't call them the majority. At all. If they were the majority, there would be no society tbh.
