I am planning over time to shift unloze away from the official discord server that was created in 2023 to our own self hosted Stoat server instead.

You register an account and login. Its pretty straight forward as you just do it with your web browser. All discussions about zombie escape, minigame, zombie riot and sven coop that we before had on the official unloze discord server will continue over on this new platform. I expect of the Stoat server to replace the discussions that we prior had on the official discord server. I am perfectly aware that many people might not bother to go through the 30 second sign up process of creating an account.
thats fine enough by me as many of the discussions related to the servers regardless require me or other staff or admins for bearing fruition to anything actually getting done in practice. If i sit on the official 2023 discord and talk those things through with maybe a maximum of 5 people that are active there or instead do the same on stoat with just 3 people is the same to me.
The 2023 official discord servers main purposes was to have a way to communicate with new players without having the problem of gatekeeping. Stoat will now take over this purpose but in practice i expect that we mostly just talk about the servers whenever i feel the need or admins or users feel the need to. The 2023 official discord server was very moderated in tone and actions but the Stoat server does not need to be that as it is self hosted and will therefore be very relaxed on language use.
The 2023 official discord server that will be phased out also had the purpose of being a potential backup plan however as circumstances developed it can no longer be considered a backup plan.
What changed is that the new unloze discord server no longer can mitigate the problem that we had created from trying to protect our core community users, as the situaion is that our core community users are not protected any longer. Hence the 2023 discord does not matter any longer, its only purpose was to discuss the game servers essentially, there was no worth related to it in terms of the community. Therefore there is nothing lost by destroying the 2023 discord server as these discussions rely on staff and admins for anything to get done. Hence are these discussions moved over to the new platform stoat. The platform has the advantage that we are not monitored and have full control, unlike the 2023 disocrd server.
As it stands i have given up on the original goal of protecting users of the core community, so the 2023 discord lost its purpose for that. All what it had left are the discusions, i therefore move that last part over to Stoat where unloze is in full controll. sorry for the ramble of repeating myself, i am underslept and overwhelmed from unloze work since a while now.
I would say i am done with all setup that i wished to do for the Stoat server and hence is now the right time to announce it with a thread although its already advertised through the server names and the button on the pannel on here.
