can you believe it? only 9 years after george suggested that we should add stripe did we finally get support for it. This means you are not longer bound on paypal for buying vip. you should technically have a lot more options with stripe supposedly. Realistically was 2024 the earliest we could had adapted stripe as it was the earliest point in time where xenforo added support for stripe.
thanks a lot to @Glacius Verglas for showing up and helping me while he was drunk. i hope stripe will get used well over time and seen as a much easier alternative to having paypal. Hopefully will this expansion to stripe also finally help to stabelize matter of money on here. Its not a problem in overall because i can pay for unloze myself but i hope stripe will give us more income over the next couple of years. The stripe integration is of course new and so far only glacius tested it but we assume it should be good and hold.
Now due to me upgrading the forum i also fucked over the addons, the styles and the themes. We will get back to that at some point hopefully, like tomorrow. so yes some stuff is missing right now obviously. These sacrifises were hopefully worth the stripe integration. over time the forum will probably look better again and get its functionality back. thats all guys. peace out. after 10 years we are seemingly not dependent on paypal any longer.
