We are formally establishing the role of Admin Managers today who will be handling the admin team which includes solving internal disputes between admins as well as demoting admins and handpicking players for admin to keep the team well up to date. That means that i will mostly stand back and let the admin managers decide on their own how they want to manage the admin team. I can of course help them or do decisions by ourselves if they ask for our help but mostly we want to let the admin managers decide on their own what they want that happens with the admin team. The admin selected for this role is Rice.
So the hierarchy is slightly changed as the veteran role does not exist any longer. The former veteran admins no longer have permissions to manage the admin team as the intention is that the admin managers will do so from now on. The veteran role was renamed to Retired Super Admin which should be viewed as a upgrade to the regular retired admin role. Retired admins keep vip meanwhile retired super admins keep their sourceban access, their forum access and the Ingame admin access they already have. But from now on these Retired super admins cannot manage the admin team any longer. The name Retired Super Admin should make very good sense considering its only alcolo and zp that still play css. Admins who have been active for 5 years will get the Retired Super Admin role as promotion. Does it matter that they are called Retired Super Admin even if they are active? Absolutely not something worth thinking about. When over 90% of the people with the role dont touch css since years anymore it makes a lot more sense to call them Retired Super Admin instead of Veteran admins.
In case of an admin manager retiring they will also be given the Retired Super Admin role, meaning the role covers both admin managers who resign as well as admins who have been promoted after 5 years of activity. The Super Admin Role is very easy to think of as the unloze pension system because your given the access for the rest of unloze's life time.
The admin manager role will reflect what we in the past used to call global admins. But this time around they will instead be called Admin Managers.
Last time around there also was no Retired Super Admin role, back then if an admin manager was demoted or resigned they would only receive the retired admin role. This time around there is better compensation at least in the form of the retired super admin role. Hopefully re-introducing the system and being more strict about admin managers not being AFK for 6 months will send us into a better future again.
