Cool story, dude. I am glad that you're all right (or hope you'll be).
Also rip dat SSD and its data, my last HDD died 2 years ago, but I think I can retrieve important data from it, it must be still accessible. Also after that I got to use cloud services, e.g. Microsoft OneDrive, which help you a lot to store your important data.
