So i found this text in GameingReviews (Joris Ceoen) video description.

[...I've always loved this map a lot, but as of late I found that the map showed great imbalance at the end, where even 6 players can easily hold the ship against 40+ zombies. I'll have to be honest here and say that I blame the server (UNLOZE) for this huge decline in playability for zombies. Humans have double clip size, allowing them to keep open fire without having to reload by the time the final 40 seconds are over. If this wasn't the case, the map would be way more fun to play, and more interesting to beat. Now it feels like no effort is required...] - Joris Ceoen

What do you think about that and should we change somthing or is it nice the way it is.

Pros:
  • Unique gameplay moments.
  • Help for unexperienced players.
  • More potential for solo wins.

Cons:

  • Too easy holding with less people.
  • Unrealistic ammo managment
  • Differents between UNLOZE and other servers.

I say it's just something people are gonna have to live with. It's part of Unloze, it's the server's unique perk. Take that away, and I'm sure a couple of people will be disappointed and leave.

While some people like fairness, others just like to hold that left mouse button and spray the heck out of zombies with their weapons.

Then again, it's not up to me to make a decision on this, if there is any need in making one. I just think it's quite fun to have something different from the rest of the other boring old servers.

Well im gonna not say remove it, but i do agree with him on some points, on certain maps you really are able to hold against massive numbers of zombies, with a small team.
But it depends on the amount of players, and maps.
The easy maps it's mainly always a human win, when on the bigger maps it can be 50/50 to zombies having it easier.

So yeah, it is really due to the mechanics of certain maps which do not have forseen bigger magazines.
So to be honest. Really not anything that can be done about it, as it is just sometimes the case that humans got an edge on easier maps, due to the extra ammo. but if you know how to work with it, it's still possible for zombies to win.

well, i'm firmly against extra ammo on any server, so even if i love unloze i was against 100 ammo since the beggining. So a better balance would be cool in my point of view. Let's ask to ppls who really care about this map :lenny:

Btw are we talking about the entire server gameplay or it's just for this map? Cause i agree extra ammo is part on unloze, but i'm one of those ppls who enjoy a fairplay round, so return to normal ammo wouldn't be so bad for me

As far as I remember this ship always is pretty easy to defend, even with less ammo.

Imo there is another really big problem right now. The AWP. One Headshot knocks the zombie back into oblivion while dealing 900 Damage. On some maps AWP is totally fine, but on the majority it just should not be there.

How about we trim the ammo size down on certain maps to the original clip size?
Leave the double ammo on stagemaps etc. but trim it down on oldschool maps like atix & PotC.

Im also against the retard proof ammo system we have on the server, i mean why change the maps which are normally balanced for normal clips to what we have to give cts an advantage

less ammo = more cover = less doorhug

+Stop say it's too easy, when we can't reach stage 2 on predator ultimate :harambe:
(I know you're a oldfad but think about new people or noob or russian)

I would like to have dicussion if we could begin slaying doorhuggers. Plus i would prefer russians and noobs playing on the constantly full plaugefest server

All i can hear is waaah waaah, we have this settings since the beginning, and as far ss i can see, its not like we are winning every map we play. So just keep the settings, i like it :) just to add ppl who are doorhugging will not defend more cause u reduce the ammo...

I think it's good for now, it's true that those settings belong since the beggining. Keep it like this, just maybe change ammo for normal / ez maps like boatescape etc? (exept for nemesis maps)

Is Joris Ceon a pleb? yes

Is his point still valid? yes

Can we make POTC harder? not really

where even 6 players can easily hold the ship against 40+ zombies
This just shows that he is a pleb basically. Way before Unloze started i used play alot on mainly gfl.com and i3d.net. Everybody that played on I3d back in the days remembers alot of potc bhop wins by the oldfags like the ZES crew or the TEE clan. ZES and later also the TEE clan did ALOT of wins with 3-5 people against +50 zombies. I also remember alot of casual POTC wins on GFL with 4-7 people just cassually outbhopping 45 zombies. Joris Ceon is just a plaguefest guy who moved onto csgo.

The extra ammo only gives us advantages against bosses and breaking stuff like boxes/doors. on maps like POTC we stand pretty equal to all other servers as its just about the bhop settings.

Remember each server has different zombie settings with different speed, different knockback and different jump height/distance. Our zombie settings on their own are harder than EUfrag, net4all, zombieden, sonaki and last time i checked the playerclasses.txt of GFL our settings where also harder than theirs.

I am fine with the idea of removing extra ammo but in that case we would also have to nerf the zombies.

Nah i think its good to keep it like this you right.
Plus it Will be an eternal question between those who want and those who don't . its like that since the beggining so keep it that way, its not good to start changing what make the server. Even if the idea is good. Maybe for Old map with not any levels when changing zm settings as jenz said ?

Guys pls come on don't talk about the ExtraAmmo when you don't know all the setting behind ...
Like jenz said our Zombie Setting is way harder than GFL or other server, we have less knockback and zombies are faster than human (did you test on GFL lmao)
On GFL zombies have the same speed as human (or just a bit more) the knockback is MORE powerfull than Unloze Knockback.
On Unloze it's harder to bhop (when you get how to bhop on unloze it's easy, but on GLF bhop is way more easy)

So even if we have more ammo it's harder for us to push and hold zm.

So please no don't remove extra ammo because Unloze is like that we don't need to change because "waaah waaah other server have less ammo waaah waaah unloze is too easy" stop crying and go on an other server if unloze is too casual for you...

This kind of topic is triggering me a lot >___<

As stated above, removing the double ammo means losing something that separates us from other servers. If we do that what will make us different? Instead, we could do something else: increase some of the boss's and zombie's hp, maybe reduce their knockback as well but I don't think it's necessary. I was thinking about increasing the timer for some holds but that would be too much (maybe?).
Another thing is: ammo won't make a big difference considering we have a lot of newbies on. Give them normal or double ammo, they are still going to play the same way.
I might miss something but I can't think of it right now. Hearing more opinions is best though.

I'm gonna be honest, Unloze settings feel unfair and bullshit no matter which team you're on. For a zombie, sneaky solo attacks are infeasible because you'll get knocked to the other side of the map by the sheer barrage of bullets and AWPs. A lone human, on the other hand, can't effectively backpedal+defend because he'll get overrun by speed zombies. This all has the effect that teammates clump together and everything becomes a numbers game, rather than a product of individual efforts.

Most days I just end up feeling frustrated and go back to GFL.
