Hi fellow ZE Players,

As promised I added this vote/discussion thread in order to speak about the new cash system we have been running on ZE for the past couple days. Please make sure to read this real quick before you vote:

Keep in mind, that since the release of this I've nerfed it a lot. Meanwhile you can only store up to $25k Cash and only get $0.5 per damage as Human or $400 per infection as Zombie. In addition Humans and Motherzombies get 2k Cash when they win a round. Also everyone is given 3k Cash when a new round starts to prevent Players without any money at all. When you vote please don't consider your experiences before the system was nerfed this much. We have been playing with these settings since 2-3 days, which makes the previous days obsolete. They were there to test and balance this, which I think that we've achieved meanwhile .

I will keep the new system running over the next days while the votes and discussions continue here. Make your experiences, share them here and vote! The system can be nerfed furthermore (or buffed) if needed.

In my opinion its a new fresh system that allows more tactical thinking when and where to use rebuys. Also since the nerfs it's not overpowered anymore as far as i experienced so far. With 25k limit you can only store around 3-4 more P90 rebuys, which isn't that high anymore. Also gaining Cash isn't that easy anymore, I doubt that anyone but Top Defenders can easily get as much Cash as on the previous System (16k each round). Keep in mind with a 0.5 multiplier that's 26k damage (16k - 3k free round start cash * 2) you need to deal to Zombies every round to make up for that. If Humans win (2k bonus cash), that's still 22k damage every round. In overall the amount of rebuys available is definitely much less now. However as balance you can save couple rebuys more as stated above.

$16k cash limit, $200 per infection as Zombie, $500 per new round, 2k if humans win a round
 
Please remove zombie shield from lms, it breaks the map.

Also I'd like to say that once in a blue moon killing a zombie isn't bad, I think it's often helpful if a zm gets in with the humans somewhere and you need to kill it.

anyway i dont think that it only happens once in a blue. sometimes (depending on the map) it's far too easy to kill zombies. i added the shield as a small counter and balance next to the new cash system. it's a tiny bit harder to kill zombies now.

we need to make sure that people shoot zombies instead of standing at the door.

we cant force ppl to defend. its a part of the game to doorhug, even i sometimes dont really defend. its natural.

also what about ppl who go for triggers and such?

Quick update 12.08.20

It's been around 10 days with the new cash system, but unfortunately there is no vote result overwhelming the other ones so far. I am really split here to make a final decision. It kinda tends to remove cash carrying over, but keep money for defending. Seems as the compromise solution for all.

However I will still keep the new system running for longer, because I want you all to reconsider your vote. Meanwhile we tried to make Zombies stronger in order to restore balance. Here is what we did in the past 10 Days:

- We doubled the cd between the usages of ZAmmo (even with an m249 you have to reload once now before you can ZAmmo again)
- We gave both Zombies and MotherZombies more HP (after removing the Shield)
- Just today we added an aura around MotherZombies, that doubles the HP Regen of any nearby Zombie (including the MotherZombie itself)

Also we buffed new cash system a very tiny bit, cause it felt a little too hard to gain money:

- Buffed cash gain per damage to $0.6 (from 0.5)
- Buffed cash gain each round for everyone to $3500 (from 3000)

I am aware that many of you think we can restore balance simply by removing new cash system or ZAmmo. However we like to give this a try and balance things while keeping all these new features. They bring fresh new air and interesting new tactics. Both nerfing ZAmmo and stronger Zombies is really a big boost for Zombies in general. We certainly think this will do the job and balance things.

Obviously we need to test this. That's why I will keep the new cash system still running. Please make your experiences the next days and share them with us. Reconsider your vote if you feel like new cash system is okay with the new Zombies and ZAmmo.

I am really not trying to force anyone here to change their vote, but giving up a new thing before trying to balance things feels wrong and rushed. I kept listening to complaints and therefore nerfed ZAmmo + made Zombies stronger (and buffed cash gain bit).

Nearly 1/2 the people want the system gone at the time I'm writing this, (43%) I think you're biased to say that no vote is overwhelming the other ones so far. Also your idea of making a 'unique' system would just be using gfl / nide's system if you do money per round, while yes, zammo's been slightly nerfed, and zms were buffed, I think it's ludicrous to assume people want this system, I also dislike your mother zm changes as all it does is balance other controversial changes (zammo and your money system both of which were just put on one day), for the love of god just ask people before adding shit, it's not rocket science.

dafuq? 43% is not even close to 1/2. there is clearly no overwhelming vote here. 43% remove, 36% keep, 21% compromise solution. how is this one-sided?

and yes we would lose the "unique" cash system if we just end up with compromise solution same as nide/gfl. that's why i hope we can keep this unique system and therefore try to balance it (which i was trying to do since release).

and i know that some ppl dislike this system no matter what and will not change their vote. but i also know some ppl dislike this cause of zombies being in too much disadvantage, which i hoped to solve meanwhile. those people are free to change their vote or not.

anyway willy we can't ask for everything in advance or changes will never happen. also something like this needs proper testing and balancing before you can actually make a valid opinion on it. we have been running this 10 days only and i will not keep it for too long either if there is no significant changes on the vote.

Not to just be argumentative here but who had even asked for this system? This is just like with the zammo, zcleanse, and 0 ping where a few admins talk about it and rather than asking people what they think you just go ahead and make. Also it feels a little disingenuous to basically make 2 of the options a yes, 1 maybe, and 1 no. It should have been worded more like "fine as is" "needs work" "get rid of it". Further more making statements like "So ye i removed it not because it's broken nor gameplay-changing, but instead cause of the feeling it's broken, when it clearly isn't. it's a funny world we live in." makes it seem like you aren't taking any criticism as actual feedback but instead taking it personally without seeing the merit in what people are saying thinking only you are right. This is the exact same thing as what happened with 0 ping where people raised legit problems with proof and they were just written off, as is happening now with people saying it was affecting maps.
 
Rofl phantom. A change of gameplay is not even remotely comparable to a plugin that literally broke a part of the gameplay for months. 0 ping made lasers freeze for small moments and therefore let you die unnecessarily, this is just a different idea how to play ze.

Anyhow I think the poll was dropped too early. A change as this needs like 1 month of testing while actively having tech change this and maybe have community influence, then you drop the poll for yes or no.

Zammo was a stupid idea because it literally stops people from thinking where to shoot their clips and when to have no ammo, zlceanse genius but maybe broken on some map spots.

Anyhow there is potential in this but as dejade said it will take a while to balance this all out.

I am not directly comparing the plugins just how they were introduced to the server , which if you had read my statement you would know.

Another update 16.08.20

Removed the following:
- $3500 cash gain for everyone each round

Added the following:
- You gain $200 for getting a trigger as Human.
- Your cash is set to $3500 when you have less than that on round start. (prevents having almost no money at all on a new round)

Changed the following:
- Buffed cash gain per damage to $0.75 (was $0.6 before)
- Nerfed base cash money you start each map with to $12500 (was 16000 before)
- Increased cash gain for shooting Bosses a little, since it was way too low.

Basically this is another huge nerf because they free cash everyone received every round has been removed. Furthermore you start each map with a little less money. On the other side you get a little more money shooting bosses and zombies.

Tryhard Defenders can still make up for the lost free cash, because defending grants more cash now. Also people who go for triggers get a little cash as well since they do their part to help the team.

However doorhuggers or casual defenders will not make up for the lost free cash, which means their gain overall is drastically reduced. Till now everyone got $3500 each round and could farm up to $25000 without doing much like defending or tryharding in general. These kind of players however will no longer get the free cash and can't farm up so fast anymore.

I'd like you guys testing this and again reconsider your opinion and vote. I am especially interested what those people think that wanted further nerfs. Is it better like this? I think we are about to hit a perfect balanced spot.
